After my last post about Denton delivery food, I decided to revisit some of my old favorite delivery restaurants that I enjoyed before Argentina.
TJ’s Pizza and Wings was one of my favorite places to get delivery food from because they offer a variety of pizzas, calzones, wings, subs, and lasagnas.
Tonight I had a craving for one of my favorite Italian cheeses, ricotta. Which of course means I ordered one of their five lasagnas. And being the carnivore that I am, I selected the meatball lasagna dinner.
My first thought was why meatballs and not ground beef. The first bite of the pasta answered that question for me, it’s because clearly the meatballs are not homemade therefore must be easier to just throw into the layers of pasta. And because of this, the lasagna really could’ve done without the grayish-brown colored meatballs.
Luckily there were not that many meatballs in the lasagna. And lucidly for my taste buds the ricotta was the best part of the entire dish. The marinara sauce was tasty.
The dinner also came with a side salad which on the website said contained mixed greens and unless you consider iceberg lettuce mixed with more iceberg lettuce to be a mixed green salad, it can be skipped.
But next time that I want a quick lasagna, I will probably have better luck going to the store and buying a Stouffer’s.
